You are encouraged to explore the whole island (you don' t have to, but trust me, you'll want to), and there are loads of really cool places to go. The whole level is one big island, not just a straight path like we are used to in Sonic games. The whole level, the whole landscape, is the track, and it's not just a wide-linear space. But the good thing is, there are no 'main tracks' leading you to the goal. There are so many places you can go that it's actually possible to get lost. Simply because, you're missing out on so much by not exploring the environment. The whole level is completely open, you can take the shortest route to the goal, but believe me when I say, you won't want to. Granted, it's only one level, but my god is it a huge one. Sonic GDK Green Hill Paradise is a really good fangame IMO. *It's got nothing to do with the fact my friend made it, no, noadihidifuidshifhuhifjopejiehiefopj. I'm just going to give a shout out to the pretty awesome Lands Of Mobius Animation/RPG*, which you can play online at newgrounds.
